Ingredients:

  • 8 Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans (approx 1 oz / 28g)
  • 8 oz (236ml) Vodka or Bourbon

Instructions:

  1. Carefully slice each vanilla bean lengthwise to expose the seeds, then cut the split beans into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Place the sliced beans into an 8 oz glass bottle using a funnel.
  3. Pour the vodka or bourbon over the beans until the bottle is full, ensuring beans are completely submerged.
  4. Seal the bottle tightly and store it in a cool, dark place.
  5. Shake the bottle vigorously once a week for a minimum of 8 weeks until the liquid shifts to a deep amber hue.
