Ingredients:
- 6 tbsp fine sea salt (100g)
- 3 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika (21g)
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic powder (18g)
- 1 tbsp onion powder (9g)
- 1 tsp dried basil (0.5g)
- 1 tsp ground cumin (2g)
- 1 tsp celery salt (4g)
- 1 tsp granulated sugar (4g)
- 1 tsp finely ground black pepper (2g)
- 0.5 tsp citric acid (1g)
Instructions:
- Place a fine-mesh sieve over a mixing bowl and sift the salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to remove any clumps for a uniform texture.
- Add the dried basil, ground cumin, celery salt, sugar, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Whisk all ingredients together until the mixture reaches a consistent, vibrant terracotta orange color.
- Optional: Pulse the mixture in a spice grinder for 3 seconds to achieve a fine 'dust' consistency that adheres better to hot fries.
- Transfer the seasoning to an airtight glass jar using a funnel and store in a cool, dry place.
