Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
  • 4 oz (115g) Snickers bars, chopped into small chunks
  • 1/4 cup (60g) creamy peanut butter, softened
  • 2 oz (60g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) caramel sauce, warmed
  • 2 tbsp (15g) roasted salted peanuts, crushed

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Place chopped Snickers chunks into the freezer for 10 minutes to prevent them from sinking during baking.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture appears glossy.
  5. Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt, then fold gently with a rubber spatula just until the flour disappears.
  6. Spread half of the chocolate batter into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  7. Dollop small spoonfuls of softened peanut butter across the batter surface and press the chilled Snickers chunks into the peanut butter.
  8. Spread the remaining batter over the top, smoothing with a spatula to seal the candy core.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are set and the center has a slight wobble.
  10. Remove from oven and finish by drizzling with melted semi-sweet chocolate and warmed caramel sauce, then sprinkling with crushed roasted salted peanuts.
