Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 4 oz (115g) Snickers bars, chopped into small chunks
- 1/4 cup (60g) creamy peanut butter, softened
- 2 oz (60g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 2 tbsp (30ml) caramel sauce, warmed
- 2 tbsp (15g) roasted salted peanuts, crushed
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Place chopped Snickers chunks into the freezer for 10 minutes to prevent them from sinking during baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture appears glossy.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt, then fold gently with a rubber spatula just until the flour disappears.
- Spread half of the chocolate batter into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Dollop small spoonfuls of softened peanut butter across the batter surface and press the chilled Snickers chunks into the peanut butter.
- Spread the remaining batter over the top, smoothing with a spatula to seal the candy core.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are set and the center has a slight wobble.
- Remove from oven and finish by drizzling with melted semi-sweet chocolate and warmed caramel sauce, then sprinkling with crushed roasted salted peanuts.
