Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, chilled
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed toasted pecans
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Instructions:
- Pour the chilled heavy cream into a chilled large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat the cream until stiff peaks form and the mixer leaves deep, defined tracks.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream using a rubber spatula with a figure-eight motion until the mixture is a uniform, pale ivory color.
- Pour the mixture into an airtight freezer container. Fold in optional mini chocolate chips, toasted pecans, or lemon zest if desired.
- Smooth the top with a spatula and press parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface. Freeze for at least 6 hours or until firm.
