Ingredients:
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup M&Ms or candy corn
- 2 tbsp orange or purple sanding sugar
- 10 oz mini marshmallows
- 3 tbsp salted butter
- 1 drop food gel coloring
Instructions:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the popped popcorn and candy mix-ins into a very large mixing bowl.
- Prepare cooking oil spray for shaping the balls later.
- Place the salted butter in a pot over medium-low heat until completely melted.
- Add the mini marshmallows and food gel coloring to the pot, stirring constantly until the marshmallows are completely smooth and velvety. Do not let the mixture boil.
- Immediately pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and candy in the mixing bowl.
- Fold gently with a spatula until every kernel is evenly coated.
- Allow the mixture to cool for 2–3 minutes until warm but not scalding.
- Lightly spray hands with cooking oil. Scoop approximately 1/2 cup of the mixture and gently squeeze it into a ball.
- Roll each ball in sanding sugar or sprinkles and place on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
