Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp (10ml) vanilla extract
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium-high for 2-3 minutes until pale and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture on low speed, mixing only until the last streak of flour disappears. Fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 7 to 9 minutes. Remove when edges are set and lightly golden, but centers still look soft. Let rest on the hot pan for 5 minutes.
