Ingredients:

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine the granulated sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir well to mix.
  2. Bring the mixture to a full, rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Boil vigorously for exactly 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan immediately from the heat. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Quickly add the marshmallow creme and vanilla extract. Beat or stir vigorously until the mixture is uniform, glossy, and velvety smooth.
  5. Pour the fudge quickly into an 8x8 inch pan lined with parchment paper or foil. Let cool completely at room temperature or chill until firm (approximately 2 hours) before cutting into 32 small squares.
